Synopsis

In Treatment is a half–hour drama series starring Gabriel Byrne adapted from an enormously popular Israeli series created by Hagai Levi. Set within the intimate confines of individual psychotherapy sessions with five sets of patients, the series centers around Paul (Byrne), a therapist who exhibits an insightful, confident demeanor when treating his patients, but displays a crippling insecurity while counseled by his own therapist, Gina (Dianne Wiest). In the second season, patients undergoing treatment with Paul include Mia (Hope Davis), a former patient who blames Paul for her current troubles, April (Alison Pill), an architecture student with lymphoma, Oliver (Aaron Grady Shaw), the 12–year–old son of Bess (Sherri Saum) and Luke (Russell Hornsby), a divorcing couple, and Walter (John Mahoney), a CEO with a history of panic attacks.
