Review

The surprise hit of 1989, this mostly amusing comedy is charming due partially to two great gimmicks: a talking baby whose thoughts are heard on screen, and the ever-glib Willis as the vocal incarnation of the little tyke, Mikey. Alley is Mikey's mom, a single accountant having an affair with married business associate Segal. While waiting for him to leave his wife, she ignores the attentions of a helpful and obviously made-for-each-other taxi driver. Travolta delivers a wonderful comic performance as the cabbie. (Followed by 2 sequels)
