Synopsis

Whatever happened to the hunt for Bin Laden? In the wake of 9/11, President Bush vowed not to "rest until we find him". But five years into the most expensive manhunt the world has ever seen, "Public Enemy Number One" remains at large. How has he continually evaded capture? Did he escape from Tora Bora or did someone let him go?

The Search For Osama Bin Laden appraises the efforts of the military teams who have been charged with finding the reclusive Taliban leader. The program speaks to a number of figures who are in charge of the operation, and also inspects the action that has been taken in the five years following the events of 9/11.
